About the tour
Discover the secrets of Fátima, the power of the sea in Nazaré and the medieval charm of Óbidos
Discover the faith that moves millions in Fátima, where the Virgin Mary touched history.
Fátima is a city in the centre of Portugal that is home to the Sanctuary of Fátima, a Catholic pilgrimage site. The Chapel of Apparitions marks the spot where the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared in 1917. Other sacred sites include the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary with its golden angels and the modern Church of the Holy Trinity.
Feel the energy of the sea in Nazaré, home to giant waves and stunning landscapes
Nazaré is a town with a strong fishing tradition, home to one of the most typical beaches in the centre of the country. The town of Sitio da Nazaré, where the Fort of St Michael the Archangel and the lighthouse are located, separates two very different beaches. To the south of the lighthouse is a quieter beach, Nazaré's main beach. To the north of the lighthouse, the well-known Praia do Norte (North Beach) has a much bolder temperament, due to the Nazaré canyon - creator of giant waves, where the sea offers a unique spectacle!
Lose yourself in the romance of Óbidos, a medieval town that is sure to make you travel back in time as you explore its narrow streets.
The medieval town of Óbidos is one of the most picturesque and well-preserved in Portugal.
In 2007, Óbidos Castle was declared the second of the seven most important monuments in Portugal's architectural heritage by the Seven Wonders of Portugal competition.
On 11 December 2015, UNESCO declared Óbidos a literary city as part of the Creative Cities Network programme. Here you can stroll through its medieval streets and taste the typical liqueur, Ginginha de Óbidos.
NOTICE: The giant waves of Nazaré are a natural event that depend on the storms on the high seas that bring the big swells. As they are also an event that attracts many visitors, there may be restrictions on traffic and/or parking, so we cannot guarantee that you will be able to witness the event.
